A small status update: The .in_place directory was fixed by Kailash this
afternoon and I fixed the gsed dependency just now.
sed was killing me, so I opted for awk; which should be the same on about
every Unix installation on the planet. So we no longer depend on gsed!

Thats insane stuff Peter!

I dont think this awkward fix (pardon the pun!) will cause big
problems integrating, besides, its cleaner.

Perhaps the webpage should be changed to make people grab the latest
snapshot, I dont think its a big deal though.
